Tekapo: Bela & Lucas

I met with Bela and Lucas the morning of their wedding day in Tekapo. Within a few minutes I knew I was going to enjoy capturing this love story. They had decided to elope in beautiful Tekapo, and the whole thing was to be a surprise to family and friends back home in Brazil.

What a beautiful couple, inside and out. Absolutely a pleasure to photograph, and what an honour to be a part of such a special celebration. It was just the four of us in the Church of the Good Shepard, where Bela and Lucas made their promises. The church bells chimed and off we went for a sunset walk looking over Lake Alexandrina. Bela and Lucas trusted me to be themselves, with such a beautiful couple in such an awesome landscape this is what I love about my job!
